Possible Locations

Another element that could prove pivotal to how 'real' our video looks. Myself, Adam and Matt were all adamant that we would not just stick to local areas or woods, how many MTV videos are shot in woods? not many. Local areas are to recognizable and would take away from the reality of our video.

Southbank

This is a setting that would benefit our video, because it its such a popular destination that we will find all sorts of characters. This will make our video look more valid as it about peoples lives, and if we can video interesting characters we will be exploring all variations of life. This setting would be good both early morning and at night, as it captures so many landmarks in one shot.

Tube Stations

Tube stations will be brilliant during rush hour some of our ideas for the video consist of people in a rush. We will also be able to see people who work in the city but also tramps who may be begging outside. Tube stations will also provide a good location for our character to busk, we have an idea of him sitting against the wall playing his guitar.

Under Passes

Under passes will be useful for shots of our artist playing his guitar and singing along to the music. It may also be good when we end the video, our main character could walk out of the underpass with his guitar in hand.

Something we will have to consider is going to places that are in good condition, like West London and places that look a bit worn down. This will help us get contrasting shots of the rich and poor, because our song is about what a life, so this should be shown through everyone's perspectives. An idea that we have had is that for the start of our video we will show a montage of shots taken very early morning, when the streets are empty. We believe that this idea fits the music at the start of our song, this in turn allows us to set the scene early on in our video.
